I am a retired Gastroenterologist who practiced Internal Medicine for 10 years in the US Air Force. Trained in Gastroenterology and practiced in that Field for about 30 years. The last 23 years of practice were in private practice.
During my practice of Medicine, I discovered large deficiencies of knowledge in patients. There were also other problems that I noted in the practice of Medicine. I spent a lot of time educating my patients. I spent time educating physicians. There were omissions in physician practice that I found unacceptable. A lot of doctors are taking shortcuts at the expense of patients and their medical care. This book addresses those issues. It is primarily for patient education. Physicians can learn from it as well.
